Meaning Behind the Exhibit
In a male dominated industry at the time it's amazing how Pineles was able to take so many strides like being the first female art director for a major publication. She brought fine art into mass publications through her beautiful creative covers and spread which made fine art even more accessible to the youth and lower class. She also influenced the modern text narrative layout which involved text being integrated with illustrations to bring the story to life.
